The dark scoreboard was useless when Quince Orchard came to Blair's home field. An opening kickoff returned for a touchdown by QO's Kyle Gregory was a foretaste of what was to come. Seven different players on QO's offense crossed the goal line. 8 touchdowns and 7 extra points added up to a final score of 55-0.

But one aspect of the game that should linger on in memories has to do with young men representing Blair. Exhibiting great passion for football, they maintained their composure at all times, determined to keep working hard, regardless of the score, despite having to contend with (for the first half) an opposing team loaded with several athletes who are going on to play college football next season. Blair earnestly wished QO well when the clock was winding down, and they will probably take any lessons they learned to heart, while building a stronger team for themselves. The Blazers set an incredibly high standard for sportsmanship and fortitude that will serve them well in life. They must be commended for lighting up the field with their spirits all night.
